4th Period – Mastery Band I, II, III, IV)

The NGHS Symphonic Winds is the premier ensemble of the North Gwinnett High School band program. The ensemble is comprised of the most advanced wind and percussion players in the program. Members of the Symphonic Winds are exposed to the highest level of literature for the Wind Band. The band performs regular concerts at NGHS in the Fall, Winter and Spring. The band has consistently earned superior ratings at the GMEA District 13 Large Group Performance evaluations and was a featured ensemble at the Music For All Southeastern Regional Concert Festival at Georgia State University in March, 2018.   Symphonic Winds was a featured ensemble at the University of Georgia High School Music Festival in January, 2012.  Placement into this ensemble is by director recommendation and audition only.
